"Netherlandshereweare" is a web portal for Slovak people who work and live in the Netherlands. It contains valuable information which Slovak people need to orient themselves in the country, both in important areas of life as well as in the area of their free time and leisure.

 

I've decided to make this website because nowadays I see more and more people from Slovakia coming to the Netherlands. I arrived in this country a long time ago and therefore I have accumulated extensive valuable knowledge and experience that I can share with newcomers in their native language. All the relevant information necessary is collected from official sources, links to which are included in every post.

 

The website was published on 24th September 2017 and is supported by a Facebook page "Life and work in the Netherlands" which was created one day after. Its blog posts have already accrued in the first 18 days of its existence more than 3500 views. Whilst posts shared on Facebook reach approximately 8000 people with popularity growing every day.

 

Besides the associated blog, where the information is being continuously added, there is also a discussion forum, comparison tools for areas such as telecom or energy supplies and, last but not least, a directory of companies that provide services, which Slovak people in the Netherlands may need. Currently included are registers of work agencies, transport companies, tax consultants and according to demand, it will be possible to create other new commercial categories. Although all content of "Netherlandshereweare" is available for all private users completely free, the inclusion of companies in a directory is bound to a membership fee payable on a yearly basis.
